This course will help delegates to understand the ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace.

Duration

Spread over one day including breaks and lunch is provided.

Numbers

A maximum of 8 delegates will be allowed on the course.

Assessment

A range of methods are used, including practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice).

Certification

A Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to requalify for a further three years.

In this digital training course, interactive modules equip managers with confidence and practical skills to support their teams health and wellbeing.

This 3 hour virtual workshop will enable Managers to:

  • Understand and fulfil managerial responsibilities around their teams’ health and wellbeing
  • Develop a baseline understanding on a range of mental health conditions
  • Recognise when an employee may need support with their mental health and wellbeing
  • Use the CARE framework to have effective mental health conversations as part of their everyday activity
  • Recognise where and when to get further information and support
  • Develop self-awareness techniques

Mental Health Awareness for Managers is a flexible way to give your organisation wider access to high quality mental health knowledge from an accredited expert in workplace mental health and wellbeing. It’s a perfect way to reach all managers and is designed to complement Cogito’s existing mental health and wellbeing face to face training options.
