Tell Us About Your Career Journey
My career journey started five years ago when I moved to the UK at 18. I worked in customer service-based roles and graduated in Media and Journalism a few years after.

While looking for graduate jobs, I found an ad for a Resourcer role at Cogito. I had never thought about doing Recruitment, but when researching the company, I was attracted to the personalised services and data insights. I’ve only been here for half a year, but I can already see how much I have learned and developed.

Tell Us About Your Role At Cogito
As a Resourcer, I attend briefings with Client Managers to understand their vacancies and ideal candidate criteria. Some days I will focus on sourcing to find the most suitable candidates for the roles I am working on, and other days I will contact them to explain the roles available and obtain a better understanding of what they are looking for.

Every day I communicate with the Client Managers to give them updates and discuss candidates in the pipeline or challenges experienced by the Cogito People Insights team.

My role is to find the most suitable candidates for our clients while getting to know the market, what people are looking for in their career and what their ideal workplace would look like.

What Do You Enjoy About The Role?
Working to fill a variety of vacancies makes every day different and busy. Communicating with the client and professionals gives you a great understanding of the current market, and I never stop learning. The role also has its personal touch when building relationships, which can be very fulfilling.

What Is It Like Working For Cogito?
Since day one, everyone has been very friendly and supportive. The office is a lovely working environment where you can learn from others and feel part of a great team. Once you get the hang of things, it is a very relaxed atmosphere, where you don’t feel pressured but supported and comfortable discussing anything you may need to help you grow and develop.

As a close team, we also like to have fun outside work, and enjoy regular social events.
